How much therapy will I receive in rehab?
You will have three scheduled hours of therapy during your inpatient stay. However, your entire time in rehab is part of the therapeutic process. Our staff is trained to help you reach maximum independence throughout your stay. Your care team will encourage you to apply the skills you have learned and practiced in your scheduled therapy sessions around the clock.
How long will my stay be?
Length of stay is established early in your stay and is based on your needs, goals and progress in rehabilitation. Average length of stay is 10 days; however, this can vary from a few days to a few weeks, depending on the patient's impairments.
What is Physical Therapy?
In Physical Therapy you will gain strength and mobility through exercises and activities designed especially for your needs. Physical Therapy is designed to help you restore and maintain optimal physical function, optimal wellness and fitness and optimal quality of life. What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational Therapy is designed to help you regain maximum independence in the basic skills essential to your daily life. These may include eating, dressing, bathing or other self-care activities. What is Speech Therapy?
Speech therapy (or speech language pathology) targets deficit areas such as speech and language disorders, cognitive impairments, voice pathologies, and swallowing disorders.
